Published almost every weekday, "Today's Word" is drawn from one of the passages that is assigned in the Book of Common Prayer's Daily Office Lectionary--a schedule of readings that provides a psalm, an Old Testament passage, a New Testament epistle passage, and a gospel passage for each day. Because the devotional is necessarily brief, the Pastor Alex tries to focus on offering encouragement and reflections that are well-suited to start the day.
